Chiropractor Charged With Abusing Patients

Oskaloosa police have arrested a chiropractor on sexual abuse charges.

According to a release from Oskaloosa police, 33-year-old Jason Daniel Ebelsheiser is charged with five counts of 3rd degree sexual abuse and one count of tampering with records.

The charges stem from an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of multiple patients by Ebelsheiser.

Police seized several patient's records from the business.

Ebelsheiser was booked in the Mahaska County Jail and released on a $55,000 bond.

Third degree Sexual Abuse is a Class C felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prision and a fine. Tampering with Records charge is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable up to 2 years in prison and fine.

Oskaloosa Reacts

When KCCI News showed up three hours after his arrest, the doctor was back at work with patients.

Ebelsheiser wouldn't talk to a KCCI News crew, but some dedicated patients would.
