AHWATUKEE -- An Ahwatukee chiropractor accused of stalking a Valley woman for nearly three year is behind bars this morning.

According to police, surveillance on the doctor revealed that he was following the victim all over the Valley.

The victim said Robert Coffey, whom she had met at a work function, told her, "If I can't have you, no one else will."

Coffey, 42, was taken into custody after several days of surveillance.

Investigators said Coffey followed the victim all over, including parking in lots outside of stores just to watch her walk out.

The victim, whose name has not been released, said Coffey started calling her constantly after they met, even texting her 100 times a day. She said he also instant messaged her.

She said that at first she believed it was a coincidence that Coffey was everywhere she went, but it wasn't long before she realized what was happening.
